Career Day

Career Day was today and Daniel chose to be a veterinarian. Luckily, this is an easy career costume to make: scrub shirt, a name tag and a stuffed animal - done. Then Daniel decided he needed a stethoscope. We ended up making one from aquarium tubing and Nerf darts. :-)

Mike started a garden this year. We had fresh zucchini last night - delicious! Can't wait for the squash, tomatoes, beans, cukes and peppers!

Oh, how I love this little boy! As far as I am concerned, there is nothing better than a 7 month old. He's a little sleepy in this picture. His top teeth have just come through, so he's been a little crabby and not sleeping well.

Field Trip

Last Wednesday, Daniel's class went on a field trip to the zoo. It was fun, but watching those boys made me tired. They climb on everything. I wish I had half their energy!

Carowinds

The trip to Carowinds was fantastic! The weather cooperated and it did not rain until after we left the park. We left home VERY early and got to the park when it opened. We did not have to wait for any rides the first two hours we were there, so we had seen and done everything by 2:00 p.m.

Happy Birthday Daniel!

Daniel turned 7 years old on Saturday. It has gone so fast. Seems like only yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Still, no matter how old he is, he will always be my baby.

Carowinds Here We Come

Instead of a birthday party, Daniel asked to go to Carowinds this year. Tomorrow morning, we are waking up EARLY (ugh) so we can be there when the park opens.
Hopefully, it won't rain and we won't catch swine flu. I'm taking an umbrella and tons of anti-bacterial wipes just in case. Nothing like having a freaky obsessive mom to suck all the fun out of life.
